Frostygaze gave Flamestar a last, sad glance before turning and following Fallenwolf. He seemed to be talking some kind of nonsense to Flamestar. She knew what would happen now, and it was tempting. The Clans were like a kittypet home after what they had endured with the wolves. These cats didn't know pain or suffering. They never had to know that the one you once looked up to wanted you dead.
For the first time in a while, she realized how different she was from the rest. No, she corrected herself, How different we are. Fallenwolf and me.
Fallenwolf turned and started talking to her. He wanted to know where Ravenclaw was, and he said they were going to go home to Botolf. "Oh, um, Ravenclaw's at camp. I'll bet she'll help. She didn't tell Stormstar* when she found out about us, so I think she's on our side," she replied.
"We're gonna go find Botolf. Botolf, Cloud! We're going home!"
Frostygaze froze. She had grown up in Channing, but she did spend a few days there once, but that wasn't the point. If she went back, she'd be killed before she could blink. "Fallenwolf, wait," she meowed warily after him. She darted to his side. "If we go back, there's no saying how fast Conall will find us. Not to mention that Botolf may not be so willing to let you come back."
She flicked his ear with her tail. "But why not? We can go and see how things have been."

Fallenwolf was amazed, in a good way, how quickly Frostygaze caught up with him. She, too, kept her wolf characteristics. Including their seeming inability to ever catch birds. (lol) They ran in silence for a few minutes, then Frostygaze voiced her fears about returning to their Packlands. The black tom nodded in agreement, but meowed, "I know. But it's our only chance. I originally hoped that we could get the wolves to come help these Clans, but after this... I think that if Botolf agrees to aid us, we'll have to find some way to either get the cats into their land, or bring the fight to them and hope they come to our side."
He sighed. "I don't know, Cloud, I don't know anymore. Things are gonna get way worse before they start getting better. We're laying our lives on the line for what- a flimsy scraps of hope? Long ago, I was taught that hope didn't exist, that all we had was ourselves to fight for. But I don't believe that anymore. I hope and I hope for hope. But I don't know what I believe in anymore. Too many different beliefs have built up inside me, and I'm beginning to think that every single one of them is a lie, that all we've got is our lives and our love."
Feeling weird- not uncomfortable, just...empty- after revealing so much of himself, Fallenwolf doubled his speed, calling back over his shoulder, "Catch me if you can, Wolf-Daughter!" The sun slid into late afternoon, then the first touches of twilight, as the two wolf-cats raced to the other side of ShadowClan's territory, preparing for the long journey ahead of them.

((lol I never posted... So yeah, we should go post there. I got a B+ on the research part of the project! Now I have to do an outline for a script, but I have class time to do it. Let's go! *skips to medicine cat den*))
